Get Rhythm! Programs - Drum Circles for Schools, Colleges, and Education

Get Rhythm in Schools and Colleges

Get Rhythm! Drum Circles have been used in schools as a single event or as a mini-residency to promote rhythmic entrainment (unity) for students, faculty, family, and administrators. Rhythmic entrainment teaches real-life formulas for success: group participation, self expression, communication, creativity, and goal setting.

Get Rhythm! uses the most basic and simple principles of the drum as a tool for unity within the school environment. The spirit and magic of drums, percussion and rhythm reaches all ages, sexes, religions, races and cultures.

A Get Rhythm! Drum Circle program will rapidly eliminate social barriers while creating a fun and dynamic environment that will ensure success.

Through rhythmic communication, Get Rhythm! group drumming programs provide a hands-on experience that exemplifies direct, immediate action and result. As a model for educators and an experience for children, Get Rhythm! demonstrates the effects of action and interaction using auditory, kinesthetic and visual modalities to enhance communication, encourage cooperation and foster quality peer relationships.

Dear Mr. Scalici,
Thank you so much for sharing your gifts and talents with our students at Somerville Road Elementary today. It was so enjoyable getting to participate. My English As A Second Language children (ESL) really connected with the drumming and had such positive things to say about their respective sessions.

Please allow me to personally thank you for your compassion and your delicateness in dealing with one of my students in particular. You managed to have her perform and show what she could do in a way that was so respectful.

It is evident that your love of people of all shapes, sizes, colors, creeds, ethnic groups and nationalities is your foremost reason for drumming.

Best of luck to you in your continued success in working with all the people with whom you share the language of drumming.

I only heard great comments from the teachers. Thank you so much. Mr. James is handing out your brochures to the other principals and I'm sure he will talk it up at Principal's meeting. I look forward to scheduling a time for next year!!"
