Therapeutic Drumming
Therapeutic drumming was developed in 2003 as a means to engage at risk youth. It is now taught and used by young people and adults in schools, youth services, drug and alcohol treatment facilities, child protection residential facilities, hospitals, and prisons. John Scalici is a certified therapeutic drumming instructor from both Youth Villages and HOLYOAKE with over 15 years experience working with a wide array of groups.
John is the recipient of the “Making a Difference” award in 2010. by the Alabama Alliance for Arts Education and is frequently asked to do interviews highlighting his work.
